Build Your Own Website |

Content: |
Each participant will build a multi-page web
site and take it home with them on CD at the end of the class. The
workshop focuses on how to develop a website along with what skills are needed
to successfully publish and maintain a site. There are discussions
about search engines and site performance, but most of the content is in the
form of instructor-lead labs in which the students actually develop a
website on a supplied-computer on the class network. The webs are
shared among the students and each student can take home the work they've
completed at the end of the day. Class registration includes two hours
of post-class support to answer questions that come up after the class.
Breakfast, lunch, and all class materials are included. Student can
also get web-hosting discounts from Free Design.

Content: |
Each participant will build a multi-page PowerPoint presentation and take it home with them on CD at the end of the class. The
workshop focuses on how to develop a presentation along with what elements you can use
to add interest, effects, and sounds. There are discussions
about templates and associated materials, but most of the content is in the
form of instructor-lead labs in which you actually develop a
presentation on a supplied-computer on the class network. The presentations are shared among the students and each student can take home the
work they've completed at the end of the day. Class registration includes two hours of post-class support to answer questions that come up

Build Your Own Access Data Base, Forms, and Reports |

Content: |
Each participant will build a Microsoft Access Data Base and take it home with them on CD at the end of the class. The
workshop focuses on Tables, Queries, Forms, and Reports (note: Visual Basic Programming is handled in the advanced session). There are discussions about
SQL, installation and multi-user applications but most of the content is in the form
of instructor-lead labs in which the students actually develop a data base on
a computer supplied by Free Design on the class network. The data bases are shared among
the students and each student can take home the work they've completed at
the end of the day. Class registration includes two hours of
post-class support to answer questions that come up after the class.

Workshop Title: |
Maximizing MS Outlook |
|
Content: |
Each participant will learn how to install,
deploy, and configure MS Outlook for both personal use and small business
use. Personal organizational skills will be the primary focus of the
class. Use of the integrated tools within Outlook will be covered.
Group use and the development of custom forms will also be covered as will
importing and exporting information into other programs, files, and PDAs.
Outlook 2000/2002 are featured although 2003 and earlier versions will be
discussed. MAXIMUM ENROLLMENT IS 5 STUDENTS. |
